Activities Abound!

Feb 10, 2020

Spring is almost here (so says the groundhog) and the activities which celebrate our pets are starting to roll-in.  Here is just a sampling of some fun events. Mark your calendars….

1. Pucks -n- Paws
Bring your dog along to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, Sunday, February 22nd.  Hillcrest Animal Hospital is excited that our local hockey team is joining us in supporting the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians in our mission to keep pets and people safe in their vehicles.

Each ticket bought from the link:  https://www.fevo.com/edp/SC-Vets-Care-Foundation--Pucks-N-Paws--Greenville-Swamp-Rabbits-vs-Worcester-Railers-QNsAFmXx will come with a pet seat belt! In addition, $6 of each ticket will go back to funding Pet Vets for Seniors. This program provides low or no cost pet care for qualifying senior citizens.

2. Spa 4 Spays
Speak for Animals along with United Community Bank presents this annual event on March 12th at Zen in downtown Greenville.  Enjoy a spa service, scrumptious food and drink, great silent auction and always fun Unique Boutique. All proceeds from this fun event provide low-cost and no-cost spay and neuter options for our Upstate community. Check out https://speakforanimals.com/spa-for-spays/ for more information.

3. Mutt Strut
The 9th Annual Mutt Strut presented by the Greenville Humane Society will be on Main Street in Greenville on April 25th. Participants and their dogs will enjoy a 2-mile walk/run through beautiful downtown. The streets will be lined with entertainment including live music, caricature artists, face painters and more! All proceeds from the Mutt Strut go to benefit the animals of the Greenville Humane Society. https://runsignup.com/Race/SC/Greenville/GHSMuttStrut

4. Tails & Trails
Race the trails (or go for a casual stroll) at Conestee Park side-by-side with your best running partner – your dog! Whether you’re racing with or without your four-legged companion or just walking the trail to support a good cause, Tails & Trails is fun for everyone. On May 9th, make a difference in the lives of homeless animals and help Greenville Animal Care reach the goal of making Greenville County a no kill community.  https://greenvillerec.com/event/tails-trails-5k-walk-run/

5. Hillcrest Animal Hospital Kid’s Club
If you have a budding veterinarian between the ages of 5 to 10, sign your child up for our popular Hillcrest Kid’s Club. Throughout the year (Feb 23rd, May 17th & Sept 20th), Hillcrest Animal Hospital opens up our doors to show the inner workings of a small animal hospital. Call ahead to reserve a spot for your future veterinarian! https://www.hillcrestah.com/events

Hope to see you out there having fun!
